200e ELECTRIC MUSIC BOX Design Your System First, design your system, choosing from the list of modules and cabinets. Remember - this is a modular system - include whatever modules complement your style. The only limitation is that no more than one Model 206e or 225e can function in a single cabinet. If you have any holes in your system, we'll fill them in at no charge (with blank panels). Or specify a suggested system# (with whatever changes or substitutions you'd like). Submit your list to us. Accompany it with a check for roughly 50% of the price, your shipping address and your telephone number. Californians should add local sales tax. Specify a preferred carrier and billing number (or credit card number to bill shipping to). Systems are shipped insured for full value via two day air unless otherwise specified. We'll notify you when your system is ready for shipment (usually about 1 - 3 months after receipt of order). Evaluation A thirty day evaluation period is included, with a returned system (in perfect condition and original packing) incurring a 15% restocking charge. Modules (in perfect condition, and in current production) may be traded in (within 30 days) on other modules with no restocking charge. (If the module's been in a smoking environment, it is NOT in perfect condition.) So try them out - if you don't like it, trade it in. Guarantee 200e series modules are built to the highest professional quality standards. Parts and workmanship are guaranteed for two years, with the customer paying only transport expenses. Hardware upgrades Occasionally, a module's performance can be improved by hardware modification. In these (fortunately rare) cases, the module must be returned to Buchla and Associates for updating. The big upgrade now is the preset manager. We designed in a new computer, replacing the one introduced in our 2005 systems. It is considerably faster and with four times the memory, giving us room to expand the system and add new features. This is a necessary modification to allow running of our new version 30 firmware. Cost of the upgrade is $200. Some recently shipped systems already contain this computer, identifiable by the start-up message "Primo Version".
